Vita
Juana Anzellini was born and raised in Colombia. She is currently living and working between Berlin and Leipzig.
She holds a Meisterschülerstudium from the HGB-Leipzig by Prof. Mark. She graduated already from a Master in Fine Arts at the Caspar David Friedrich Institut in Greifswald, Germany. Juana also graduated from the Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia, 2009). Her artistic work focuses on painting, drawing and printing.
The theme “Blindness” in its physical, as well as in its psychic’s dimension,
is the central and most important motivation of her artistic work. Beyond her strong personal interest on the figure of the blind – with its respective perceptive limits and ranges–, the actual ground of her ideas has reached a broader perspective. Blindness is not just a matter of not seeing through the eyes. She is an active artist and exhibits internationally since 2009.
