The blindness has been a central topic of my artistic activity and a personal commitment for years. This interest is not just related to the impossibility of seeing in the sense of a physical disability. The cognitive level (seeing but not understanding, or not wanting to understand), the historical representation, and the emotional and political dimension of this phenomenon, have been aspects that I have explored through the production of my work. Over the years, I have analyzed this topic through different perspectives, methods and techniques: painting, printing, carving and also some objects with tactile qualities. I have additionally developed text through the publication Andere Koordinaten  (Other Coordinates) in which I interview people with visual impairment. The way a blind person approaches the world questions directly my point of view (eminently visual) and broadens the limits of my perception and my consciousness.

What happens when an image is created thinking of a pair of eyes that cannot see? Is this image perceived differently? What is it, that my eyes cannot see? What is it, that I prefer not seeing?
